The XV National and Iberian Conference of Aquaculture will occur on 13-16th October at Palacio de Congresos Casa Colón, Huelva, Spain. The conference will be organized by the Spanish Aquaculture Society (SEA).
SEA has as its primary objective to facilitate and promote the circulation of information on various topics in aquaculture, promoting contacts between all persons and institutions interested in the development of aquaculture in Spain, industry and cooperation with other countries, especially in Europe, Latin America and Mediterranean. CNA-CIA Conference is the place where different scientific, social and practical viewpoints concerning aquaculture are discussed.
The meeting includes important topics to be discussed that are relevant to FA1301 COST Action.
The topics to be discussed in the Conference include a specific regulatory framework; research, development and training to service quality and increasing productivity and competitiveness; processing and marketing with maximum performance; sustainable aquaculture and creating jobs; Management insured health and animal welfare; close collaboration between scientific community and production sector.
Dr. Camino Gestal (FA1301 WG2 Leader, MC – Spain) and Dr. Eduardo Almansa (FA1301 STSM coordinator, MC – Spain) acted as representatives of CephsInAction.
Dr. C. Gestal delivered an oral presentation entitled “Investigación Científica en Cefalópodos: Retos y oportunidades de la Directiva 2010/63/EU” in the “Diversification” Session.
The program included plenary lectures, oral and poster presentations and workshops.
