According to the Working Document on the Development of a Common Education and Training Framework to fulfil the requirements under the Directive 2010/63/EU (endorsed by the National Competent Authorities for the implementation of Directive 2010/63/EU on the protection of animals used for scientific purposes) “Training should be a considered as a continuous process, through the initial Modular Training to a period of working under supervision until such time as competence is attained. Individuals shall maintain competence through a process of continuing education (Continuing Professional Development – CPD)”.
